Join us Friday morning between 10h and 12h at the crbm for the "call for help" session. Beginners and experts, come with your images and we will answer all your questions concerning image analysis.
Training and Consulting
In the context of the Biocampus Montpellier workshops we are giving regularly workshops concerning image analysis topics. If you need help, have questions or want to discuss image analysis either contact us or just join one of our freely accessible "call for help" sessions.
- Theoretical and practical training:
- Image display
- display, levels, contrast and brightness adjustments, changing palette / LUT
- Image pre-processing
- electronic noise management, background noise removal, increasing sharpness -unsharp masking, removing unwanted signals- thresholding and use of masks
- Free image processing and analysis software ImageJ
- Image display
Machine Learning APPLIED to biological image analysis
Duration: 2.5 days, i.e. 17.5 hours
Objective: Understand and apply machine learning methods for the analysis of biological images using "free" software.
Prerequisites: Know the basics of image analysis
Audience: Researchers, engineers, technicians, doctoral and post-doctoral students
In this workshop, you will learn how to write and use macros for automating image analysis tasks with the public domain software ImageJ. Ideally, you have used ImageJ before but know little or nothing about programming. If necessary, you can learn about ImageJ at the same time as you learn macro programming and if you are already a specialized programmer, you can always find information on how to work on specific objects with ImageJ.
