ImageJ basics

  • Theoretical and practical training:
    • Image display
      • display, levels, contrast and brightness adjustments, changing palette / LUT
    • Image pre-processing
    • electronic noise management, background noise removal, increasing sharpness -unsharp masking, removing unwanted signals- thresholding and use of masks
    • Free image processing and analysis software ImageJ

Macro programming with ImageJ

In this workshop, you will learn how to write and use macros for automating image analysis tasks with the public domain software ImageJ. Ideally, you have used ImageJ before but know little or nothing about programming. If necessary, you can learn about ImageJ at the same time as you learn macro programming and if you are already a specialized programmer, you can always find information on how to work on specific objects with ImageJ.
